Ephemeral Stories are not stable public URLs. Reels and public posts work with the Instagram downloader.
Overview
Most Instagram Stories expire and are not exposed as durable public URLs. PasteGrab cannot bypass Story privacy or login walls.
Public Reels and feed posts are supported: copy the share link, paste into PasteGrab, and download MP4 or MP3.
Creators should use Instagram's archive for their own Stories. This solution page clarifies limits so you do not waste time on impossible links.

Avoid profile homepages or search results — PasteGrab needs the direct page that contains the media file.

Support
Confirm you pasted a direct Instagram media URL (https://www.instagram.com/reel/CxExample123/), not a profile or search page. Public Reels and posts only — private accounts are not supported.
Instagram pages that require login or regional access cannot be fetched by PasteGrab. Only public URLs you can open in an incognito window will resolve.
Long Instagram files take time. Keep the job tab open. If progress stalls beyond ten minutes, copy the link again and retry — transient Instagram CDN issues sometimes clear on a second attempt.
Preview again with a different preset selected before clicking Start download. Format locks in at job creation time.
